NIGEL BOONHAM SCULPTURE: RIVEROCEAN 

   

Original plaster 65cm h, bronze edition of 8: A private commission to express 'freedom in water' the sculpture also alludes to the rainfall cycle of the earth as well as the flow of human energies.The male figure is River, inspired by the river god in the British Museum from the west pediment of the Parthenon. He flows into the Ocean female who is borne aloft like the formation of rain which will eventually fall to nourish the earth.
