An Indian-born speaker and writer on philosophical and spiritual subjects. In his early life he was groomed to be the new World Teacher. Later he rejected this and disbanded the organisation formed behind him. He travelled the world giving talks and having dialogues, often with scientists.

I went to hear him speak in Brockwood Park a year before he passed away. I found his philosophy extremely interesting and have admired his work ever since. One of the first books I read of his was Freedom from the Known.  I always wanted to make a portrait of Krishnamurti – he had one of the most striking face so I finally made some time to make it and it was a joy to work on. The portrait is now held in private collections.
